About The Position

ARO is looking to hire a Shipping & Receiving Associate in the Glenview, IL area. The Shipping/Receiving Associate performs shipping functions at the dock, including shipping, receiving, and moving inventory, etc. Some computer experience is needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk or stand for most of the day. Forklift experience and certification is a plus. Very nice office setting, great work culture and free snack samples. This is a Monday - Friday position, with the hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk or stand for the majority of the work day.
Completes necessary safety training, follows appropriate procedures to ensure workplace safety.
Some computer experience is needed.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience and certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs shipping functions at the dock, including shipping, receiving, and moving inventory.
Prepares materials for shipping, creates and wraps pallets, crates materials, load materials onto trucks with and without heavy machinery.
Receives incoming materials, records inventory, stocks materials in their appropriate places.
Documents all incoming and outgoing materials.
Uses scanning devices to track materials.
Places service calls for designated equipment.
Sorts and distributes incoming mail and packages.
Assists in opening/closing site under management supervision.
Practices company’s quality standards.
Performs standard file pulls/refiles.
Performs internal/external messenger deliveries/pick ups/ processes a variety of incoming and outgoing mail/overnight courier services.
Maintains clean and organized site.
Provides assistance and/or solutions to client questions and problems.
Completes projects assigned by management and/or client.
