About The Position

This role involves performing safety checks, preparing items for shipping, and ensuring accurate shipment of both domestic and international orders. The Shipper will operate forklifts and hand trucks, build skids, and drive a company truck between two facilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety regulations. The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting heavy items regularly.

Responsibilities

Perform safety checks at the start of and throughout the shift.
Prepare items for shipping using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
Bind containers with metal tape, if necessary.
Post weights and shipping charges, affix postage or other identifying information.
Examine and ensure all outgoing shipments meet required shipping and customer specifications.
Ensure correct shipment of international orders.
Operate forklifts or hand trucks to move or hoist shipments safely.
Build skids necessary for completion of shipments.
Drive company truck between two facilities.
Provide outstanding, detail-oriented service to internal and external customers.
Operate company computer systems, UPS and other shipping equipment, Microsoft Office, and electronic scales.
Understand and support Company policies and procedures.
Understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
