About the position
The Shipper/Receiver position at ASMPT is a temporary role focused on managing and tracking outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies. The role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and facilitating timely deliveries to customers. This position is expected to last for 2.5 months but may extend based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track all outgoing shipments from the distribution center.
- Verify correct parts/materials received against packing lists.
- Wrap and pack components for shipping.
- Create and maintain a safe and professional work area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Use software to prepare, track, check, prioritize, and route orders.
- Manage important documents such as advanced sales orders, pick slips, and bills of lading.
- Help coordinate and process returns.
- Inspect labels, barcodes, packaging materials, and other features of completed orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of shipping or receiving experience preferred.
- International shipping experience required.
- Experience with DHL, FedEx, and UPS is necessary.
- Skilled in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
