About the position

The Shift Supervisor at Faith Mission is responsible for overseeing and directing clients during evening, late night, and weekend shifts. This role involves maintaining order, supervising meal services, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records in a responsible manner.
• Supervise the in-take process at the designated sign-in time, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and signed by guests when necessary.
• Maintain order at all times.
• Supervise evening or weekend meals and ensure they are conducted safely and orderly.
• Supervise and sit in chapel services, delivering messages when necessary.
• Disseminate the general policies of Faith Mission/Faith Refuge to guests.
• Supervise students, volunteers, and clients, noting any unsatisfactory work in daily reports.
• Maintain daily reports and document any unusual situations with time, persons involved, events, and outcomes.
• Secure the building for nighttime.
• Document any incidents that occur.
• Make routine checks on the building.
• Check all electrical appliances to ensure they have not been left on.
• Answer phone calls.
• Sign in any clients that arrive during the night.
• Notify the Intake Manager immediately of any emergency situations.

Requirements

• Must be a mature, born-again Christian, a member in good standing of a Christian Church that believes and teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be willing to agree with the WFFMI Statement of Faith.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent skills in conflict management resolution, anger management, problem solving, and judgment.
• Ability to work as a team member with other Christians of various denominational backgrounds.
• Knowledge of community resources and networking.
• Ability to love and work with people of all ages, lifestyles, disabilities, and cultures.
• Computer knowledge for data entry.
• Spanish helpful but not required.
