About the position

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role at CVS Health is an entry-level position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. This short-term role involves completing basic operations and management training while learning about key business aspects and CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful trainees may be promoted to supervisory positions, where they will support store management in driving performance and enhancing customer loyalty through exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with store management and store crews.
  • Supervise the store's crew by assigning, directing, and following up on all activities.
  • Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
  • Assist customers with their questions, problems, and complaints.
  • Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  • Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy to promote a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Deductive reasoning ability and analytical skills.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
