About the position

The Shift Supervisor for Allied Universal® is responsible for overseeing the security operations of a high-profile client's facility, ensuring the safety of persons and property during their designated shift. This role involves managing security personnel, enforcing policies, and maintaining compliance with contract requirements while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
• Cross-train officers to enhance versatility and operational efficiency
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Recommend physical security surveys and post orders
• Advise on personnel actions for those under direct supervision
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
• Ensure contract-required training and screening for security personnel are met
• Maintain overtime to a minimum or predefined level
• Inspect security personnel and their job performance regularly
• Perform payroll operations and maintain incident reports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid driver's license
• Minimum of 2+ years of security experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Armed guard card/license
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to maintain poise during emergencies
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
• Planning and organizing skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Active listening skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Emergency Management Systems
• FEMA Incident Command Certification; ICO 100, 200, 300
• Working knowledge of EMS protocols, Medical First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician
