About the position

This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. The Shift Lead will ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, and ADA. The role requires knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures. The Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth. Additionally, the Shift Lead will provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs culture and mission. The position also involves assisting the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner, participating in interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees under the guidance of the GM, and ensuring all required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate and completed on schedule. The Shift Lead will actively participate in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives and represent Firehouse Subs in a professional manner at all times. Communication with the GM/Owner regarding any issues that may impact the business is also a key responsibility. The role requires the ability to work on their feet for up to 13 hours at a time and lift up to 50 lbs.
