About the position

The Shift Leader/Key Holder at Coastal Outfitters is responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This part-time role requires a friendly and outgoing individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide enjoyable, knowledgeable, and friendly service to customers.
• Work with other store associates to keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Process sales transactions quickly and in a friendly manner.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Stand for extended periods of time during shifts.
• Work a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
• Perform daily managerial duties when the Manager is not present.
• Adhere to loss prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Demonstrate leadership by serving as a role model for all store associates.
• Create a positive work environment through effective communication, motivation, and recognition.

Requirements

• Experience in retail or sales management is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Previous experience in a retail leadership role.
• Familiarity with inventory control and loss prevention procedures.
