About The Position

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is a Danish lifestyle retail chain that began in 1995 with a single store in Copenhagen. The brand has expanded to over 1,000 stores across 42 countries. Flying Tiger Copenhagen offers a wide array of products, primarily focusing on accessories and toys, all designed to bring a sense of fun and surprise to everyday life. The store layout is intentionally maze-like, encouraging customers to embark on a "treasure hunt" experience, with at least 300 new items introduced each month. We are looking for a Shift Lead who is a motivated and hands-on leader, passionate about retail and customer experience. This person thrives in a dynamic environment and can support, inspire, and guide the team on the floor and in back-of-house operations, while delivering a fun and engaging in-store experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience (fast-paced or high-volume environment preferred)
  • Strong ability to drive sales and achieve KPIs
  • Solid understanding of retail metrics, with the ability to respond to business needs
  • Comfortable making decisions and supporting conflict resolution within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for customer service and team development
  • Ability to identify and support the growth of top talent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to ~50 lbs) as needed
  • Comfortable using ladders or step stools
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying items

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a fun, engaging, and memorable customer experience aligned with Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s brand
  • Act as a role model on the sales floor, supporting the team in driving sales and customer engagement
  • Coach and support team members to achieve individual and store sales targets
  • Set clear expectations and ensure team accountability during shifts
  • Maximize sales opportunities by guiding behaviors on both the sales floor and in the back-of-house (BOH)
  • Support team development through ongoing coaching and on-the-job training
  • Assist in analyzing store performance and contribute to action plans to improve results
  • Communicate effectively with the team and management to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Support the execution of company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Assist with inventory management, stock flow, and back-of-house organization
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
  • Support loss prevention, safety, and compliance with company policies
  • Assist in controlling store expenses and optimizing resources
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
