About the position

As a member of the Taco Bell franchise team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running efficient shifts in a self-sufficient manner. This position requires you to take ownership and responsibility for solving problems, while also being open to seeking help from others when necessary. You will be expected to provide guidance and assistance to your fellow team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring consistent customer satisfaction, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and upholding the company's service expectations. In this role, you will execute the Manager-In-Charge (MIC) Success Routine, ensuring that all responsibilities related to people, customers, and service are completed effectively. You will oversee the completion of Shift Excellence tasks by all team members and ensure that employees present a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the company uniform policy. Your commitment to customer needs will be paramount, as you will be responsible for resolving customer complaints swiftly and maintaining positive relations. Greeting customers with a smile and demonstrating urgency in your work will be essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere. Attendance and punctuality are critical in this role. You will need to understand the posted work schedule and report to work on time, in uniform, and ready to begin your tasks. Accurate timekeeping is also a requirement, as you will be responsible for recording all hours worked. Taking initiative and maintaining a high energy level will be key to your success, as you will be expected to take action without being prompted and go beyond the basic requirements of the job. Additionally, you will be involved in developing your team members by providing regular feedback on their performance and participating in their training. Handling conflicts constructively and working with the RGM to achieve resolutions will also be part of your responsibilities. As an owner of your role, you will assist in managing profit and loss by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, and managing labor effectively. You will oversee proper product preparation, cooking, and holding times, while also ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Other duties may be assigned by the manager as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the MIC (Manager-In-Charge) Success Routine and ensure responsibilities under People, Customers and Service are completed.
  • Ensure that all Team Members complete their Shift Excellence tasks for their assigned position(s).
  • Ensure that all employees present a neat clean appearance and wear company uniform.
  • Personally demonstrate that customer needs are the highest priority.
  • Ensure food safety, quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Greet customers with a smile, being polite and pleasant when speaking with them.
  • Work with urgency and collaborate with management and fellow employees.
  • Cooperate with peers and help others when they need assistance.
  • Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers.
  • Understand the posted work schedule and report to work as scheduled, on time, in uniform and ready to begin tasks.
  • Use the approved time keeping system, accurately recording all hours worked.
  • Take initiative and maintain a high activity level without being told.
  • Provide regular feedback to the RGM on the performance of Team Members.
  • Provide ongoing constructive and complimentary feedback to Team Members.
  • Actively participate in the training of Team Members.
  • Handle conflicts constructively and work with RGM to achieve resolution.
  • Assist in Profit and Loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory and managing labor.
  • Oversee proper product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking and holding times.
  • Assist RGM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Perform other duties as required by manager.

Requirements

  • Strong preference for internal promotion from Hourly Champion position.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass background check criteria and drug test.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Able to do basic business math.
  • Able to stock shelves and coolers.
  • Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.
  • Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin.
  • Able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the restaurant.
  • Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 90% of shift time.
