About The Position

Shag Drivers will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of Tyson shag trucks and our customer’s trailers, following all plant policies and procedures. They will be responsible for keeping the shag truck clean at all times. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching are required. These positions work in a cold/hot, damp environment and slippery surfaces.

Requirements

Team Member must be dependable, work well with others, self-motivated and willing to come in early and stay late, when necessary.
Minimum of 6 months experience driving heavy equipment or trucks is preferred.
Successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively in order to receive work orders from the dispatcher over the radio, relay information to other co-workers and report issues to management and to complete daily paperwork.
Must have a valid driver’s license (Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed).
At least 18 years of age.
No DWI or DUIs in the last 12 months.
Team Member must have less than 5 attendance points at the time of this posting and no disciplines greater than one written warning within the last 12 months.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
