About the position

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions, an international manufacturer of automated doors, is seeking experienced Automatic Door Service Technicians. This Position will report to the Service Manager. ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is a leading supplier of entrance automation solutions for efficient flow of goods and people. Responsibilities

• Perform service on, and installation of automatic, manual and revolver doors.
• Maintain proper truck stock and inventory.
• Maintain the company vehicle.
• Responsible for accurate time sheet detailing job numbers and travel time.
• Label equipment and complete door assignments timely.
• Interface with the customer, end-user and general contractor in a courteous professional manner.
• Participate in training programs offered and remain AAADM certified.
• Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner to prevent accidents.

Requirements

• AAADM certified and experienced automatic door service technicians preferred.
• Strong ability in electro-mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate both written and orally.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Physical ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders, and work on knees for extended periods.
• Proficient in operating power tools.
• Good mechanical ability to repair electro-mechanical devices.
• Understanding and ability to work with basic electrical circuits and relay logic.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Willingness to be in the on-call rotation once AAADM certified and training is complete.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years experience in the Automatic Door industry or relevant industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Storefront, Glazing, Doors, Aluminum Frames, Electrical, Glass, Automatic Doors, and Hardware.
• Good opportunity for an auto mechanic or appliance repair tech looking for a change.
