About the position

ABC Companies' nine (9) world-class facilities routinely deliver service excellence and feature the latest diagnostic tools and state-of-the-art fabrication systems designed to cover a comprehensive range of transit bus, motorcoach and RV service and repair. In addition to a full line of diesel and gas commercial vehicle products ranging from vans to luxury buses, ABC is also a leader in fully electric commercial vehicles. The Service Tech/Mechanic position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining privately-owned and commercial vehicles, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains both private and commercial motorcoaches and buses, RVs and other vehicles or machines as directed.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions.
• Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Documents all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software.
• Accurately maintains and tracks time and attendance.
• Works to expand knowledge and skill levels needed to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles.
• Demonstrates maturity and self-respect while upholding ABC's core values.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 5 years' experience as a diesel technician in a diesel truck or bus service facility or dealership.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames.
• Possession of the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
• Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement.
• Audio/Video knowledge recommended but not required.
