About the position
M.I.S. of America is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join their team. This role involves providing customer service and technical support for industrial water treatment products and HVAC systems. The technician will be responsible for visiting customers, diagnosing mechanical issues, and introducing new products and technologies. The company offers training for candidates with a strong customer service background, even if they lack mechanical or technical experience.
Responsibilities
- Visit existing customers on a monthly basis to analyze the water treatment program and make recommendations.
- Diagnose and solve mechanical issues.
- Respond to customer problems and provide solutions.
- Introduce existing customers to new products and new technology.
- Demonstrate the ability to be an aggressive, self-starter.
- Perform basic equipment calibration and repair.
- Conduct tower cleaning and disinfection.
- Engage in chemical cleaning of HVAC equipment.
- Provide backup for shipping and deliveries.
- Offer additional support for Field Reps and Office Personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- HVAC systems background preferred.
- Some experience in water treatment is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- EPA Type II certification preferred.
- 1 year of HVAC experience preferred.
