About the position

The Service Team Member at Michaels is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including children's birthday parties, while delivering exceptional customer service. This part-time role involves engaging with customers, ensuring a friendly checkout experience, and completing various operational tasks to maintain store standards. The position requires creativity, organizational skills, and the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within the store.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience for all customers.
• Complete operational tasks including truck unload and merchandise duties.
• Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to company policies.
