About The Position

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Orthopaedics is recruiting for a Service & Repair Lead: Plan & Logistics-Orthopaedics, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA! Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. This role leads Service & Repair planning and logistics workstream for the DePuy Synthes repair depot network. Develop and establish global inventory strategy, demand planning, and governance frameworks to improve service performance and cost efficiency. Lead the establishment integrated planning and regional logistics processes to support operational excellence, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, logistics, service operations, or related functions within a complex global environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in at least two of the following functional areas: planning, logistics, service and repair, manufacturing, distribution, or process excellence.
  • Experience leading S&OP/IBP processes in a complex cross functional environment.
  • Strong end-to-end supply chain planning experience, including inventory strategy, demand planning, and operational execution.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale programs, process transformation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with SAP, MRP, planning systems, and data-driven performance management tools.
  • Understanding of financial drivers, including P&L, cost of goods sold, inventory write-offs, and cost-to-serve considerations

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred, such as an MBA or a graduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated supply chain environments preferred.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification preferred.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement/project management certificate

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end service planning design for the DePuy Synthes repair depot network, documenting current state, defining the target operating model, and identifying capability gaps and migration paths.
  • Develop a standardized process to identify and maintain visibility to all regional and local service pool inventories (loaner, exchange, demo, backup), and plan inventory levels to optimize customer service while minimizing inventory costs.
  • Design and implement a global analytics and inventory governance framework specifically for service and repair: define KPIs, build operational dashboards, and set inventory policies (segmentation, safety stock, reorder rules) to drive service performance.
  • Establish and operationalize a service‑centric IBP/S&OP process that integrates base demand, market expansions, field replaceable unit requirements, NPIs, and special projects across all four regions.
  • Standardize demand and supply planning workflows for each depot and central repair component nodes, with clear inputs, review cadence, and order generation rules.
  • Develop and manage a strategic logistics framework for each region that standardizes trade‑compliant processes, optimizes customs clearance and routing, and aligns shipping schedules to minimize inter‑region lead times — with defined KPIs and escalation paths for landed lead‑time, customs clearance time, cost‑to‑serve, and on‑time delivery.
  • Partner cross-functionally with regional service & repair partners, operations, quality, and commercial teams to align planning priorities and resolve supply and logistics constraints.
  • Support new product introductions, lifecycle changes, and network transitions by ensuring service and repair planning readiness, material availability, and logistics execution.
