About the position
The Service Development Representative at Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Plainview, Texas, is responsible for developing referral relationships within the community and facilitating communication between the facility and these resources. This role is crucial in enhancing community understanding of mental health issues and improving staff skills through educational initiatives. The representative will also undertake case management functions, ensuring smooth transitions of services across different clinical levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop referral relationships with community resources.
- Act as a conduit for information between the facility and community resources.
- Collaborate with the Service Development Director and staff to identify educational needs.
- Develop and implement an annual educational calendar to enhance community understanding of mental health issues.
- Undertake case management functions within the community.
- Serve as a liaison between providers and referral sources to ensure smooth transitions of services.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing preferred, or Business Development experience.
- A minimum of two years' experience in Sales, Development, or Admission Setting in healthcare or medical industry.
- Experience with a focus on healthcare marketing/sales/customer service or as a clinical educator.
- Proficient knowledge of mobile tools and applications, including tablets and smartphones.
- Dependable transportation and willingness to travel daily.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous psychiatric experience in an acute setting.
- Experience in geriatric psych.
