About the position

The Service Coordinator (VGL) at North Bay Regional Center is responsible for managing the delivery of services to clients with developmental disabilities. This role involves ensuring that clients' Individual Program Plans are effectively pursued and that appropriate community resources are made available. The position emphasizes person-centered planning and requires face-to-face interactions with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of services to regional center clients, including those with intensive physical or emotional needs.
  • Ensure that the client's Individual Program Plan and its objectives are pursued.
  • Monitor vendor services and verify that services are delivered in accordance with purchase of service authorizations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clients' Individual Program Plans and ensure appropriate community resources are available.
  • Conduct annual reassessments of clients' developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct client assessments on an occasional basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to developmental disabilities (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, Nursing).
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Bilingual language ability (Spanish to English) is highly desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with American Sign Language.
