About the position

The Server at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic dining environment. This role involves taking orders, answering menu questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The server will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and maintain a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality customer service throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain extensive menu knowledge to describe food, drink, and special menu items.
• Ensure tables are clean and well-prepared with necessary utensils and napkins, anticipating guests' needs.
• Relay all orders to the service bar and kitchen via the POS tablet.
• Interact continuously with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food items.
• Set up and maintain sections throughout the shift.
• Multi-task effectively while managing several tables during the dining experience.
• Handle cash transactions, closing out table checks accurately and timely.
• Provide guests with accurate change and a sincere invitation to return.
• Assist team members as needed to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Complete post-shift side work as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service and restaurant settings.
• Ability to handle cash and perform cash handling duties.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and kitchen staff.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 25lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in various temperature environments, including low and high temperatures.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
