About the position

The Server position at Slack's Seafood & Steakhouse is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The server will engage with guests, take orders, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere while promoting the restaurant's events and offerings. This role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment for guests and co-workers.
• Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and staff.
• Engage in friendly conversations with guests and provide personalized service.
• Greet each guest entering the restaurant and take food and drink orders.
• Communicate with the bartender and assist in drink preparation and presentation.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as needed according to guidelines.
• Operate a cash register/POS system and maintain financial controls.
• Keep the working area clean and organized, assisting in the cleanliness of the dining room as needed.
• Complete any reasonable job duties requested by management.
• Recognize players and relay information to ensure appropriate service.
• Promote current property events and promotions, thanking customers and inviting them back.

Requirements

• Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to count money and change correctly.
• Availability to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Ability to respond to visual and oral cues.
