Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
  • Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
  • Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
  • Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
  • Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
  • Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 12 years of experience with Master's degree, 10 years of experience with PhD.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • 8+ years of experience in scientific computer programming (MATLAB, C++, FORTRAN, Python, R, etc.).
  • 5+ years' Execute developed processes in Engineering and Manufacturing Development Phase.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters degree in STEM discipline.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with physics-based mathematical modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g., C++).
  • Experience with / or interest in dynamic systems, feedback control, and estimation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
