About the position

The Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Covenant Health is a leadership role focused on enhancing the human resources function as a strategic component of the organization. This position requires a dynamic leader who will mentor and motivate HR staff, develop innovative solutions for employee recruitment and retention, and ensure compliance with regulations. The SVP will work closely with the President & CEO and senior management to foster a positive work environment and support the overall strategic goals of Covenant Health.

Responsibilities

  • Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates HR management staff to integrate HRM functions to support Covenant Health goals and objectives.
  • Develops philosophy, goals, and objectives for high-quality, cost-effective HRM to support the strategic plan of Covenant Health.
  • Provides input into the development of compensation and benefits policies and administers compensation policies and programs.
  • Leads the development of innovative solutions for recruiting and retention of employees.
  • Provides HRM consultation to Executive Management in formulating strategic plans, policies, and decision-making.
  • Ensures accurate, timely, and secure HRIS to support employment, benefits, employee relations, compensation, and training decisions.
  • Develops operational budgets for HRM programs and reviews departmental performance against established goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of HRM and healthcare issues to stay abreast of the changing environment.
  • Assures compliance with all regulations through proper documentation and management education.
  • Maintains professional growth through seminars, workshops, and affiliations to keep up with trends in the field.
  • Attends meetings and participates on committees as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Behavioral Science.
  • Prefer a Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Behavioral Science.
  • Fifteen (15) years of Human Resources experience, including experience as the senior HR executive in large, complex organizations, preferably in healthcare.
