About the position

The Senior Vice President of Business Development at Sedgwick is responsible for expanding the company's top line by building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients. This role involves identifying client opportunities, marketing the company's programs, and ensuring that sales goals and profit margins are met. The position requires a strategic approach to partnership development and client management, ensuring a smooth transition for new client programs and fulfilling client needs through tailored service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, develops and maintains internal and external relationships/partnerships.
  • Builds relationships with prospects.
  • Facilitates the development of new partnerships and ensures a smooth transition of new client programs.
  • Develops detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations to target specific needs for marketing company programs.
  • Ensures identification of expertise required to address individual prospect requirements and identifies resources for solicitation and service teams.
  • Utilizes national resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
  • Manages the design of service programs ensuring client need fulfillment.
  • Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan including identification of potential client prospects and their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; preferred major in Business Administration, Finance, or Risk Management.
  • Ten (10) years of relationship building in the claims management or risk management area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Licenses as required; possession of, or progress towards, CPCU and/or ARM designation required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work in a team environment.
