About the position

DeepSight Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join their innovative team in Santa Clara, CA. This role focuses on designing user-centered graphical interfaces for advanced ultrasound systems, enhancing usability and effectiveness in medical technology. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive solutions that comply with medical device regulations, contributing to the future of medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and analyze user behavior to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for ultrasound system interfaces
  • Develop user flows, interaction models, and information architecture for complex medical applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinicians to define and implement new features
  • Design visually appealing and intuitive interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines and medical standards
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback and data analysis
  • Stay updated on UX/UI design trends and best practices in medical device interfaces

Requirements

  • BS in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
  • 5+ years industry experience in UX/UI design, preferably in medical devices or healthcare technology
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and visual design skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
  • Experience with design systems and component-based design approaches
  • Knowledge of human factors principles and medical device usability standards (e.g., IEC 62366)
  • Passionate about medical devices, with excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing interfaces for medical imaging systems, especially Ultrasound
  • Knowledge in medical imaging (Ultrasound, PET, SPECT, CT, MR, etc.) and related clinical workflows
  • Knowledge of FDA and CE regulations for medical device user interfaces
  • Familiarity with touchscreen and gesture-based interactions
