About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager / Platform Product Owner to help lead the modernization and evolution of our core platform during a major application rewrite and SaaS transformation initiative. Our organization is actively evolving a legacy/internal platform into a scalable SaaS-oriented product. This role will play a critical part in helping define product direction, coordinate execution, align stakeholders, and guide incremental delivery throughout a complex modernization effort. This is a highly collaborative role within a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across both strategic and tactical responsibilities: defining priorities, translating business needs into actionable engineering work, coordinating across teams, and helping drive execution in an environment with limited process overhead. This is not a purely administrative Scrum role. We are looking for someone who can think critically, communicate clearly, navigate ambiguity, and help guide a platform transformation from planning through delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a similar software-focused role
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile or iterative development environments
  • Prior experience contributing to or leading a major application rewrite, modernization effort, SaaS transformation, or platform migration strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical conversations effectively
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic decisions with incomplete information
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup or lean-team environment with high ownership expectations
  • Experience coordinating across distributed or offshore teams is a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tooling
  • Experience working on SaaS products or platform-oriented applications strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with phased migration strategies, platform scalability concerns, and operational modernization efforts is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for a core business platform undergoing modernization and SaaS transformation
  • Work directly with developers, QA, stakeholders, leadership, and external contributors to define priorities and execution strategy
  • Translate business goals and operational requirements into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and delivery plans
  • Help drive and coordinate a large-scale application rewrite and platform modernization effort
  • Assist in shaping the evolution of the platform from a legacy/internal application into a scalable SaaS offering
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to balance feature delivery, technical debt reduction, migration planning, operational stability, and long-term architecture goals
  • Coordinate work across a small internal engineering team and distributed/offshore contributors
  • Help establish structure, clarity, and alignment within a fast-moving startup environment
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and delivery coordination as needed
  • Identify delivery risks, dependency issues, operational gaps, and migration concerns early
  • Assist with roadmap planning and prioritization decisions based on business value, customer impact, and technical realities
  • Collaborate on phased delivery strategies that allow modernization efforts to progress incrementally without disrupting ongoing operations
  • Contribute to discussions around platform scalability, operational workflows, and long-term product evolution
