About the position

The Senior Support Services Assistant plays a crucial role in the Office of Legislative Services by providing centralized administrative, management, and support services to the Florida Senate, House of Representatives, and other legislative offices. This position involves mail processing, delivery activities, and asset management, requiring effective communication and teamwork to support the Legislature's operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections of mail and packages before delivering.
• Process outgoing mail and packages.
• Research shipments for delivery information.
• Make deliveries and runs errands as required.
• Receive shipments of computer equipment.
• Record pertinent information for asset tracking.
• Move furniture and equipment as requested.
• Perform asset inventory locally & in district offices.
• Assist with administrative tasks.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Two years of work experience including clerical, mail processing, inventory control, or security occupations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
