About the position

The Sr Sourcing Analyst at Ally Financial plays a crucial role in supporting the assigned lines of business (LOBs) by driving customer satisfaction and achieving cost savings. This position involves managing contracts, mitigating supplier risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with business requirements. The analyst will also analyze procurement metrics, contribute to supplier performance improvements, and support supplier diversity initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and contracting activities for Technology lines of business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align sourcing activities accordingly.
• Analyze spend data and procurement metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to supplier scorecards and performance metrics to ensure accountability and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Support supplier diversity initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners.
• Lead and facilitate effective negotiation strategies to maximize contract benefits and mitigate risks.
• Support the development and implementation of category strategies to meet organizational objectives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and relevant procurement management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Proficiency in computer applications, business and industry analysis, financial analysis, supplier selection and management, contract negotiations, conflict management, decision making, and strategic thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations on price, rates, and contract terms.
• Analytical ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans.
• Strong individual communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Experience managing large projects across multiple parties while delivering results.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with clients and vendor negotiations.
