Responsibilities
- Increase the capabilities, performance, scalability, reliability, and security of the XRP ledger.
- Monitor industry evolution in the blockchain and crypto world to ensure the XRPL meets the needs of blockchain developers.
- Collaborate with RippleX and the broader XRPL community to understand the requirements of XRPL builders and implement the technical strategy to support them.
- Build highly available, scalable, distributed systems and share experience and knowledge with the engineering community.
- Deliver incremental value and uphold engineering fundamentals.
- Implement and drive standard methodologies for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment to raise engineering excellence.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain the high quality of the codebase.
- Mentor and provide guidance in the career development of others.
- Bring clarity to ambiguous situations and influence peers effectively.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience on large-scale distributed backend systems.
- Minimum 4+ years experience working as a tech lead and mentoring other specialists.
- Expert-level experience in C++ is required.
- Experience with blockchain technology and protocols, and traditional financial systems and concepts.
- Experience with crafting or contributing to multi-year engineering roadmaps.
- Experience with implementing successful approaches, techniques, and systems for team and company success.
- Experience with leading software evaluation and decision-making processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience addressing broad audiences.
