Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an operationally complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with month‑end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Lead or support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the SMI business
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
  • Partner with FP&A, operations, and business leaders to provide financial insight and decision support
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support for financial transactions and reporting
  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior accounting staff, as needed
