About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Project Engineer will support the Space & Intel product lines at L3Harris Technologies, leading project teams to meet customer requirements while adhering to cost and schedule commitments. This role involves overseeing engineering projects, managing budgets, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with minimum 4 years of prior related experience, or minimum 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution.
  • Solid technical and leadership experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering with a good RF design or digital communications background.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in complex, multi-discipline programs including mechanical, electrical, systems, and firmware, with a background in space systems.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M+.
  • Ability to implement and adapt project execution plans to achieve technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
  • Possession of a Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
  • Develop, oversee, and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects.
  • Review status of engineering projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
  • Assess engineering issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Identify, track, mitigate, manage, and disposition program-level risks.
  • Coordinate between resource managers/supervisors and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
