About The Position

The Digital Learning Sr. Specialist supports adult learners enrolled in CSN’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs by providing digital literacy instruction, technology onboarding, and instructional technology support. This position also supports the development and continuous improvement of digital literacy curriculum and learning resources aligned with ABE instructional levels, distance education requirements, and workforce-relevant competencies. Working collaboratively with instructors, student services staff, and program leadership, the Digital Learning Sr. Specialist strengthens digital access, reduces technology-related barriers, and supports student persistence and success across ESL, IELCE, HSE, and IET pathways. This position may require occasional travel to off-site locations and flexibility outside the 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. workday, including evenings, weekends, and split shifts, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, Workforce Development from an accredited College/University, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience working directly with adult learners, first-generation or low-income students, or workforce development populations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with digital tools, online platforms, and basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and cross-functional teams.
  • Make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.
  • Show a high degree of creativity and initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AEFLA/WIOA performance indicators and reporting requirements
  • Experience supporting first-generation, low-income, and adult learners.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of ABE, HSE, ESL/ELA programming, and postsecondary transition pathways.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing or adapting curriculum, lesson plans, or instructional resources related to digital literacy or technology-enhanced learning.
