About the position
The Senior Solutions Architect for Digital Native Business (DNB) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) plays a crucial role in helping late-stage startups leverage cloud technologies to enhance their operations. This position involves educating customers on AWS solutions, building relationships with technical stakeholders, and contributing to the development of cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with a focus on communication and strategic thinking to drive customer success and adoption of AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
- Educate DNB customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure successful deployment in the cloud.
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
- Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
- Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform as a key member of the business development and sales team.
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams to help evolve the AWS platform.
Requirements
- 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of cloud architecture.
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
- Experience within specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
