About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will perform software activities focused on assisting the Air Force move forward with digital transformation. Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant STEM field
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required
12 + years experience writing, maintaining, debugging, and testing code
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Golang, C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript Frameworks.
Experience with version control software (e.g., Git)
Experience with bug/issue tracking software such as JIRA
Ability to communicate technical details of work
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project
Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
Open, team-oriented, with a strong desire to learn

Nice To Haves

Experience with containerized deployment such as Docker
Experience utilizing document store databases, such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch and MongoDB
Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Gitlab pipelines, Argo CD, and/or Jenkins.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new capabilities and custom software solutions to solve unique government customer problems
Follow best practices to write well-tested, high performing code
Identify and resolve issues found in existing code
Integrate capabilities with external services and tools
Participate in code reviews and mentor team members
Communicate status and technical details with customers
