About The Position

The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world. FMCC is seeking an MDM technical lead to join the Customer & Account Domain Identity Platform software engineering team. In this role you will be a technical leader for our Informatica IDMC platform and Informatica MDM SaaS product, while also serving as a senior software engineer contributing to our initiatives using modern Java technologies. This is a senior-level individual contributor position perfect for an experienced Informatica platform technical thinker who thrives on deeply technical engineering work, software and system design, and mentoring others. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • At least eight years experience in software engineering, with most of this time spent in Java or similar compiled, object-oriented language. Expertise with Spring is a must-have for this role.
  • At least five years hands-on experience with Informatica platform development and administration, including deep expertise in IDMC components including CAI, CDI, Cloud Data Quality, Cloud Data Governance, as well as the underlying X360 products and integration services.
  • At least three years experience implementing Informatica MDM solutions, specifically MDM SaaS, including proven experience with MDM data modeling of entity hierarchies, relationship modeling, data quality and match/merge rules configurations.
  • At least three years serving in a technical lead or senior engineer capacity
  • Demonstrable experience with Hexagonal Architecture (ports and adapters) and CQRS patterns.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing software solutions, including experience with Mermaid and C4 modeling.
  • Experience with behavior-driven development, including test automation using BDD Features and Scenarios.
  • Working experience with GCP, CloudBuild, Tekton, Hoppscotch, and GraphQL.
  • Experience managing work with Jira
  • Strong and clear oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, design and develop solutions for our Informatica IDMC platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Drive implementation and ongoing evolution of our Informatica MDM SaaS solution, including data modeling as well as ingress, egress and matching strategies
  • Design and implement IDMC integration workflows using Cloud Application Integration (CAI), Cloud Data Integration (CDI), and Data Quality / Data Governance components
  • Develop technical standards and mentor others on best practices for the platform and data management processes
  • Lead platform upgrades and migrations, evaluating new features and capabilities
  • Lead, present, and facilitate discussions on IDMC capabilities, limitations, and best practices with both technical and non-technical audiences within Ford.
  • Design, develop and improve Java applications in a technical stack leveraging BDD, Spring, CQRS, and hexagonal architecture
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with internal and external systems and extend domain capabilities
  • Lead and guide the disaggregation of requirements into implementable work within an Agile-based work process.
  • Contribute to the shared learning of the team and broader organization.
