Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, performant backend applications in a cloud-based microservice architecture using object-oriented programming languages.
- Shape the technical direction of the product by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Transform product requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and tangible solutions.
- Build and deploy highly available services that deliver a seamless user experience in a production environment.
- Contribute ideas for new initiatives, technologies, and features that drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience (with a Bachelor's degree) or 3 years of experience (with a Master's degree) in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and microservice architectures, with experience using frameworks like Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, Kafka, and cloud technologies like AWS.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming principles and software design best practices.
- A passion for delivering impactful features and solving complex problems through collaboration, not just perfection.
- A track record of driving projects from inception to completion and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and React.
- Familiarity with AWS managed services like Lambda, SNS, etc.
- Previous experience in Fintech or finance.
- A passion for writing clean, well-tested code and leveraging testing frameworks to ensure product reliability.

- Base pay range: $128,000.00 - $240,000.00
