About the position

The Senior Software Development Engineer for AWS Managed Services (AMS) will be responsible for developing and enhancing feature capabilities that facilitate the adoption of AWS services for enterprise customers. This role involves working with a variety of AWS services to create new product capabilities that deliver operational outcomes efficiently and effectively. The position emphasizes innovation in cloud technology and aims to support some of the world's largest companies in their cloud journey.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve feature capabilities for AWS services.
• Build new product capabilities to deliver operational outcomes for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AWS service adoption.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design or architecture discussions.
• Implement best practices for software development life cycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in full software development life cycle including coding standards and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
