About the position
As a Senior Sealed System Engineer at Marmon Foodservice Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cooling system engineering solutions for refrigeration products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging technical strategies, and leading projects to enhance product innovation and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.
- Design, test, and review refrigeration-based sealed systems across all product lines as a functional expert.
- Utilize 8D methodology for problem-solving to identify root causes and oversee corrective action plans.
- Conduct mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design reliable cooling systems.
- Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software.
- Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret results to evaluate engineering solutions.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose design modifications for existing products.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Stay updated with advancements in cooling systems and refrigerated product designs.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role
- Experience in ice maker refrigeration design and system balancing
- Knowledge of flammable, low-GWP refrigerants and control system safety
- Strong understanding of engineering principles related to sealed systems and cooling methods
- Proficiency in thermal simulation software
- Ability to plan and oversee laboratory testing with a hands-on approach
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Effective interpersonal skills for clear communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
