About The Position

TSPi is seeking a Senior Scrum Master / Business Analyst (Hybrid) with strong experience supporting complex Appian environments, Agile delivery execution, requirements management, and release coordination activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to facilitate Agile teams, translate business needs into actionable requirements, and support modernization initiatives within fast-paced delivery environments. This role requires the ability to balance Agile leadership responsibilities with business analysis activities, while fostering collaboration across technical and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience serving as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Agile Lead, or related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting Agile software development teams within Appian or other low-code platform environments
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, requirements elicitation, and software development lifecycle practices
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing delivery risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow documentation, and functional requirements
  • Experience supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, release coordination, and dependency management activities
  • Experience utilizing Jira or similar Agile project management and tracking tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration and accountability across distributed teams

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of professional experience supporting Agile software delivery or modernization initiatives
  • Advanced Scrum certifications such as A-CSM, CSP-SM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), or equivalent
  • Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting federal government or public sector technology programs
  • Familiarity with Appian development lifecycles, release management, and process automation initiatives
  • Experience coordinating activities related to Appian upgrades, plugin remediation, testing, or production deployments
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile release management processes
  • Familiarity with Jira/Xray, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, or similar collaboration and testing platforms
  • Experience working within SAFe or scaled Agile delivery environments
  • Exposure to Appian AI capabilities, AI-assisted workflows, or emerging Appian platform features
  • Experience supporting knowledge transfer and cross-team collaboration initiatives within technical organizations

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Support Agile best practices and promote continuous improvement across delivery teams
  • Track sprint progress, team velocity, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones
  • Remove impediments and help teams navigate blockers impacting delivery timelines
  • Coordinate release activities and support deployment readiness across multiple stakeholders
  • Ensure work aligns with project priorities, release schedules, and organizational objectives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, discovery sessions, and backlog refinement activities
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and actionable for development teams
  • Support traceability between business requirements, development activities, testing, and releases
  • Maintain Agile project tracking and reporting using Jira and other collaboration tools
  • Provide regular updates on sprint progress, risks, impediments, dependencies, and milestone status
  • Support project planning, roadmap discussions, and delivery coordination activities
  • Document action items, risks, decisions, and business impacts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist leadership with delivery metrics, reporting, and risk management activities
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Facilitate effective communication across cross-functional teams and project stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, architects, and leadership to support successful delivery outcomes
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on delivery quality and continuous improvement
  • Support onboarding, knowledge-sharing, and cross-team collaboration initiatives across the broader Appian practice
