About The Position

PracticeTek is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team. This role involves owning day-to-day revenue accounting activities for a SaaS business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing, collections support, revenue recognition, and reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure billing systems and integrations operate as designed, prepare accurate journal entries, develop and maintain process documentation, and support audit requests. Success in this role is measured by the accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition and reporting, efficient issue resolution in billing systems, accurate and well-supported journal entries and reconciliations, clear and audit-ready process documentation, and thorough resolution of audit inquiries and customer questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably with public accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills, with SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, analytical approach with the ability to manage deadlines, research issues, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day revenue accounting activities, including timely and accurate invoicing, collections support, revenue recognition, and revenue reporting for a SaaS business.
• Ensure billing systems and integrations operate as designed, including accurate invoice inputs, credit processing, and daily issue identification and resolution.
• Prepare journal entries that accurately capture revenue, deferred revenue, contract assets, and accrued receivables in accordance with accounting standards.
• Develop, maintain, and improve documentation for revenue processes across the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
• Support audit requests and research customer, invoice, balance, and revenue-related questions with accuracy and responsiveness.
