About the position

The position involves validating and overseeing the creation and usage of complex pricing and risk management models related to mortgages, capital markets, and wealth management. The role requires collaboration with multiple business lines and the Model Risk Management team throughout the model development cycle, including data analysis, testing, documentation verification, and implementation testing. The successful candidate will produce written reports and presentations to communicate validation outcomes to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and oversee the creation and usage of complex pricing and risk management models.
  • Perform data analysis, testing, and documentation verification throughout the model development cycle.
  • Benchmark and create challenger models, including implementation testing and verification.
  • Monitor model performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Deliver written reports covering validation reviews and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with eight or more years of relevant experience, or MA/MS with five or more years, or PhD with four or more years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of fixed income, derivative valuation, and interest rate models.
  • Proficiency in regression techniques, parametric and non-parametric algorithms, and time series techniques using Python, R, SAS, or similar statistical packages.
  • Strong data compilation, programming, and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Thorough understanding of quantitative and qualitative risk factors and risk management approaches.
