About The Position

The Senior QE - Systems Integration is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive testing strategies and solutions across interconnected enterprise systems: APIs, managed file transfer (MFT) platforms, and job schedulers. This role ensures accurate API functionality and performance in a fast-paced environment while providing technical expertise and mentorship to team members. The position bridges API testing assurance with development, architecture, and business teams to deliver robust, reliable API solutions in a dynamic financial services environment. Additionally, you'll ensure seamless integration with managed file transfer (MFT) and job scheduling systems.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in API testing and validation across REST, SOAP, and other API protocols
  • 2+ years of experience working with and testing MFT platforms and job scheduling platforms
  • Strong proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Insomnia, or similar frameworks)
  • Strong understanding of API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger, RAML and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, MTLS, API keys)
  • Experience testing EDI/MFT platforms (Seeburger, ACES etc.) and job scheduling platforms (ESP, Airflow, Stone Branch etc.)
  • Proven ability mentoring team members (onshore & offshore) and providing technical direction
  • Proficiency with Git version control, branching strategies, and strong experience testing and working in continuous delivery (CICD) environment.
  • Experience with test management tools (Azure Test Plans, Jira QMetry) and quality metrics reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with performance and load testing tools for APIs (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)
  • Experience using AI tools like Copilot for test design or test automation

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive API testing strategies and automated testing solutions for API validation, functional testing, and integration testing across multiple endpoints and platforms
  • Design and implement automated API testing scripts and frameworks to validate API functionality, response accuracy, error handling, and conformance to specifications
  • Develop and execute tests that validate data flows, file transfer workflows, and job execution pipelines to ensure end-to-end workflow reliability
  • Create and maintain test management documentation; define, track, and report on quality metrics
  • Participate in code reviews for API testing scripts and provide technical guidance to team members (onshore and offshore)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable testing scenarios and validation rules
  • Manage defect tracking workflows and coordinate resolution with development and business teams
  • Work closely with vendors to implement testing solutions
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams
  • Manage test data, testing in multiple environments, and CI/CD pipeline integration to establish continuous test cycles
