About the position

Halff Associates Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Utilities to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. This position is pivotal in managing and overseeing various water and wastewater utility projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in the water and wastewater sector, and will be responsible for leading project teams, managing client relationships, and providing technical guidance to support staff. The Senior Project Manager will be involved in all phases of project development, from initial planning and design through to implementation and completion. This includes pipeline and facility design, project planning, and modeling. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals. The successful candidate will also be expected to mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall growth and development of the team. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee water and wastewater utility projects from planning to completion.
  • Lead project teams and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project staff and junior engineers.
  • Conduct project planning, design, and modeling for pipeline and facility projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Mentor and train junior staff to enhance their professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater Utility projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
