About the position

The Senior Project Manager at T. Rowe Price plays a crucial role in supporting Investments and Trading initiatives by managing projects across various business and technology teams. This position requires a deep understanding of asset management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead collaborative efforts to ensure project success and alignment with business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Actively build SME across key Investments businesses, processes, and systems to effectively represent Investments in various projects.
  • Lead collaborative partnerships and dialog across multiple business units and functions.
  • Promote alignment and compliance with related programs and projects across Legal, Compliance, and the wider firm.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend current/potential projects to ensure access to accurate information for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Develop the strategy for managing timelines and budgets for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Collaborate with sponsors to identify, approve, and prioritize all projects and deliverables throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Build excellent working relationships with teams as required.
  • Lead and facilitate project discussions and meetings to ensure efficient use of time.
  • Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria.
  • Facilitate operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects.
  • Define and track project milestones while maintaining an integrated delivery plan.
  • Conduct analysis and produce detailed project artifacts including requirements documents and process maps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience working in Financial Services or Investment Management.
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project management qualification (PMP, Prince II, etc.).
  • Front Office Investment Management experience.
  • Asset Management experience.
  • Experience working closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts in a project manager capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
