About the position

The Senior Program Manager at SAIC will oversee the DEVCOM C5ISR Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Branch Task Order at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This role involves managing program execution, ensuring performance expectations are met, and serving as a strategic advisor to both SAIC and government stakeholders. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide a cross-matrixed team and maintain effective communication with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of a cross-matrixed team to execute multiple projects.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to SAIC and the Government customer.
  • Assist with program/project plans, documentation, and proposals to ensure uninterrupted delivery of support.
  • Provide oversight of multiple project leads to meet performance expectations for cost, schedule, performance, and risk management.
  • Provide cost estimates/ROMs and financial status updates as required by the customer.
  • Brief program and financial status updates to Government and SAIC leadership.
  • Prepare Point Papers, Issue Papers, PowerPoint briefing slides, manpower spreadsheets, and comprehensive staff packages.
  • Plan and facilitate execution of strategic organizational and manpower activities in support of a geographically separated team.
  • Ensure execution of the risk management plan to identify, assess, and mitigate risk early.
  • Develop and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, and communicate organizational policies and goals.
  • Oversee personnel management including hiring, performance improvement, evaluations, and retention activities.
  • Formulate, review, and approve task plans and deliverables in accordance with Government and corporate approved plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • At least eight (8+) years of experience in program management.
  • Successful completion of at least one (1) year as Task Order Program Manager of a contract with similar size, scope, and complexity ($250M).
  • Comfortable with fast-paced work culture and ability to thrive in low-structure environments.
  • Familiarity with SIGINT and/or Army C5ISR Development efforts.
  • Successful completion of at least four (4) years as Program and Project Manager (Military or Civilian).
  • Strong background working with multiple contract types: Cost Plus (CP), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Reimbursable (CR), and hybrid contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior leaders.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Resourceful self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Competitive salary range of $160,001 - $200,000 based on experience and other factors.
  • Ongoing application acceptance with no deadline.
  • No COVID-19 vaccination requirement by SAIC, but customer site vaccination requirements must be followed.
