About the position

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. This is an exciting opportunity to advance novel inhibitors through drug discovery and development stages. The ideal candidate has experience in project management with a thorough understanding of the relevant science and technologies associated with activities ranging from target validation through early development including activities supporting Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and approvals. This position will be partnered closely with the Program Management functional lead, Program Team Leader and scientific functional leads to drive the execution of program initiatives to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create cross functional timelines incorporating deliverables and identifying critical path based on key assumptions and working closely with team to execute plan and monitor progress.
  • Work with Program Management team and Program Team Leader to identify potential program bottlenecks, issues, and/or resource constraints and to collaboratively develop plans for resolution.
  • Support the development and maintenance of communication tools to report key indicators of progress on programs for senior management.
  • Participate in establishment and implementation of project management systems and best practices.
  • Enthusiastically support new corporate development activities or other initiatives supporting department, portfolio, or corporate needs.
  • Support cross-functional sub-teams across corporate assets per evolving business needs including preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up on action items.

Requirements

  • B.A. or BSc. In Life Sciences with at least 4 years’ experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with at least 2 years direct drug discovery and research project management experience, or a PhD with appropriate scientific and technical background and prior cross-functional team management experience.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information into simple concepts for broad communication to project teams as well as for management status reports.
  • Broad knowledge of drug discovery and early development processes and regulations, coupled with strong proficiency in project management practices, tools, and methodology.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic and calm under pressure.
  • Experience using Project Management software to manage project timelines and resources (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Office Timeline Pro, and OnePager Pro, etc).
  • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office suite, video conferencing tools, and document archiving systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • MSC. or MBA or Ph.D. a plus
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other PM certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is strongly preferable.
