About the position

The Senior Program Manager for AWS Industries Workforce Management will drive operational efficiency and enhance the effectiveness of Innovation and Scaling programs globally for SMGS Ops. This role focuses on strategic planning and business management functions, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to simplify processes and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for enhancement and efficiency gains
  • Perform and document Root Cause Analyses
  • Design and implement more streamlined, standardized, and automated processes and mechanisms based on best practices
  • Oversee the execution of initiatives aimed at reducing friction and increasing productivity across the organization
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts, manage project timelines and milestones, and track key performance metrics
  • Research industry benchmarks and successful strategies employed by other organizations to identify and spearhead the adoption of proven best practices
  • Continuously monitor the impact of implemented solutions, making iterative adjustments to ensure ongoing effectiveness and maximum ROI

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Scrum Master
