About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to join their dynamic organization. This role involves navigating complex procurement decisions with clarity and integrity, communicating openly with stakeholders, building constructive vendor relationships, and fostering collaboration across departments. The analyst will manage details with precision, adapt quickly to shifting operational needs, and utilize data, technology, and process improvements to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and overall value in procurement operations. The Administration and Finance department is dedicated to responsibly planning, managing, and accounting for Massport’s financial resources, supporting the Authority’s mission through exemplary standards, financial sustainability, optimized resource allocation, and transparency. They leverage data analytics and forecasting for informed decision-making and collaborate with operating departments to empower sustained growth and success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience with demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret RFP responses and perform data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement or accounting systems such as Oracle Fusion or PeopleSoft.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads procurement planning by assessing departmental needs, defining requirements, and maintaining tools and schedules that ensure continuity of goods and services.
  • Manages fair and compliant solicitations by developing RFP/RFQ materials, facilitating evaluation processes, and overseeing vendor selection and award decisions.
  • Administers contracts and service agreements by coordinating with Legal, processing updates in procurement systems, and monitoring active agreements for timely execution and payments.
  • Engages stakeholders and vendors, analyzes procurement data, and recommends improvements that increase efficiency, transparency, and value across procurement operations.
