About the position

The Senior Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman is responsible for maintaining a lab environment and conducting unbiased testing of hardware and software in a preproduction setting. This role requires a proactive approach, integrity, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality results. The position is full-time and based in Tampa, Florida, requiring a Top Secret security clearance and a strong background in systems engineering and testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Northrop Grumman lab and provide unbiased testing of hardware and software.
• Conduct quality assurance and debugging, including testing, troubleshooting, and identifying bugs and defects.
• Track progress of testing milestones and review test plans, procedures, automation, and reports.
• Maintain thorough documentation and testing checklists.
• Coordinate with development teams to meet deadlines for software baseline deployment.

Requirements

• Nine (9) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in STEM; or seven (7) years with a Master's degree.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance within the last 24 months.
• DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to the start date.
• Experience in a systems engineering role and working in a full life-cycle test environment.
• Experience using an automated test framework for end-to-end testing of software and networking projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical expertise with Synology or equivalent NFS storage appliances.
• Ability to design, deploy, manage, maintain, and upgrade VMware vCenter, ESXi.
• Technical expertise with Cisco and/or VMware technologies.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and configuring Windows enterprise architecture.
