About The Position

Derex Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced, senior-level PowerBuilder developer to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system. This role also involves the development and implementation of the GenTax–IRMS interface under the direction of Virginia Department of Taxation management. The developer will work collaboratively in a team environment on Project Lighthouse, which involves maintaining IRMS legacy systems and developing interfaces between GentTax and IRMS systems during a modernization period to support four rollouts. The position requires on-site work 3-4 days per week in Richmond, VA.

Requirements

• Experience developing Powerbuilder applications using PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher
• Hands-on experience using Relational Databases, such as Oracle 19C or higher or MySQL or similar.
• Experience developing interfaces to FileNet application.
• Experience developing interface to REST APIs
• Design and develop clear and maintainable code.
• Experience using software project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Nice To Haves

• Technical knowledge in designing, developing and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge.

Responsibilities
