About the position

HealthPartners is hiring a Payroll Technology Analyst Senior. The Senior Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing payroll operations through leveraging technology to streamline business processes, ensuring alignment with HealthPartners' strategic goals and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for the strategic configuration, maintenance, and optimization of integrated payroll systems (including Oracle Cloud HCM, myTime (Time & Attendance/Staff Scheduling and ADP) and processes that support effective data management, reporting and administration. The Senior Analyst provides support and direction for a product or specific module(s).

Responsibilities

  • System changes and enhancements, managing software releases and introducing new functionality.
  • Supporting all aspects of the system(s) including extensions and fast formulas, integrations, and reporting as applicable.
  • Ensuring that the products meet the needs of Payroll, Leaders and employees and other stakeholders.
  • Partnering closely with Human Resource teams, IT, and Data Operations to maintain current system functionality, implement new functionality and ensure data integrity.
  • Participating on Sprint teams and performing tasks associated with the selected sprint back log.
  • Responding to escalated Service Now tickets with reported issues, questions, and tasks.
  • Writing and running standard and ad hoc data reports.
  • Developing and maintaining process/system documentation, work standards, tip sheets, training, etc.
  • Fostering strong partnerships with HR, Payroll, IT Enterprise Systems, ERP Operations and Data Operations.
  • Staying current on new product features/functionality to manage and support the ongoing and continually changing applications.
  • Following data integrity and security standards to ensure confidentiality of private HR/payroll data.
  • Auditing and completing multistate quarter and year-end tax balancing and filing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with five years of experience with related software applications or 8 or more years of experience with related software applications in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, etc.) and Payroll application support.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Processes or multistate quarterly and year-end tax processing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Payroll/Finance reporting.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five years professional experience in Payroll or programming and systems analysis.
  • Certified Payroll designation (CPP).
  • Oracle Certification.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM.
  • SQL knowledge.
  • Oracle reporting tool experience (i.e., OTBI, BIP, HCM Extracts, FDI).
  • Reporting tool experience (Microsoft Visual Studio Report Designer, SQL Server Management Studio).
  • Expert knowledge of payroll processes and of multistate quarterly and year-end tax processing.
